Dr. Fariz Ismailzade
Editor‑in‑Chief of Baku Dialogues, Vice Rector for Government, External, and Student Affairs at ADA University, and Director of the Institute for Development and Diplomacy. He joined ADA University in 2006 and previously served as its Executive Dean (2010‑2011) and Director of Executive Education (2006‑2010). He is also a member of the Board of Azerbaijan’s State Examination Center and the American Chamber of Commerce. He had previously done research at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and Azerbaijan’s embassy in Washington, DC in 1999. He is presently pursuing doctoral studies at the Maastricht School of Management and holds an Executive MBA degree from IE Business School (Spain), an MA in social and economic development from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA in political science from Western University in Baku. He was also part of a one‑year fellowship program at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Most recently he co‑edited South Caucasus 2021: Oil, Democracy and Geopolitics (2012) and Azerbaijan in Global Politics: Crafting Foreign Policy (2009).
